Visitors with Limited Mobility
The Town Hall Theatre has step-free access from street level through its main entrance at the front of the building. Once in, there is step-free access to most parts of the building, including the Auditorium, the bar, and the toilets. The only access to the first floor (including balcony seating and the Lauder Suite) is through various stair cases, there are no lifts available to these areas. The aisle of the tiered seating area does not have any form of handrail to support mobility up the staircase, this may cause problems for those with limited mobility, however, our ushers are available to support people up and down the stairs. We are also able to provide seats on the ground level for anybody who may struggle on the tiered seating.
The front of house area is wheelchair accessible, with the exception of the Balcony. Entry into the hall and the journey to the seating area and bar is flat and level. In theatre style (raked seating), we can cater for up to 12 wheelchairs in the front row, at the front of the stage.
