West View Project is a youth centre that has successfully developed a varied and broad range of adventure activities. We are able to offer Sailing, Powerboat training, Canoe and Kayak courses, Rock Climbing (both on our mobile wall and at various venues in the region), Adventure walks, Forest based education courses, Expedition support and leadership training, and bespoke team building courses tailored to meet the exact needs of your group. Whether you want an activity for a birthday party, a treat for a group that have done well, a introductory getting to know you session, staff team building, or a long term personal development project, we should be able to help.We have experience in delivering training and experiences to people who want a short taste of adventure all the way to those who are hoping to follow a brand new career path, or perhaps make better use of their free time and become very active community volunteers. Some of the training we can offer includes RYA 1st Aid at sea, RYA powerboat courses to advanced level, RYA sailing skill courses, Canoe England (BCU) Level one and two courses and all of the pre-requisites for these, and Level 3 expedition leadership. We can also offer ASDAN awards and Wider Key skills and have experience in supporting GCSE, NVQ, BTEC, and HND courses.Whether your group consists of highly motivated professionals, nervous school children, future sporting stars, those in long term unemployment, children with BESD issues or any other set of needs you will find our staff will be friendly courteous and thoroughly professional. Most of our activity days can be planned with a degree of flexibility to allow the group taking part to have a full say in what they do with us. Health and Safety is always paramount to our activities as is the quality of the experience you receive. We are an AALS licensed outdoor centre and also hold a Learning Outside the Classroom Quality Badge and the Adventuremark award. We can deliver our activities at a variety of site however our sailing, canoeing, kayaking and powerboat sessions are best delivered from our Watersports centre at Hartlepool Marina. This provides the ideal base for most groups to discover a new activity and is an exceptional venue for training courses with the provision of classroom and changing facilities along with easy access and a good selection of shops and restaurants on its doorstep.
